Birth
: The
birth of Shri Sat-Chit-Atman Bhagwan took place in Saurashtra (western
India) in the family of pious and devoted Sorathiya Vanik Caste at
Vadhwan on Anant Panchmi 24-7-1919 A.D., on the auspicious 5th
day of bright half of the month of Shravan as per Hindu calendar. His
former name was Prataprai Devjibhai Madhani. At the time of
manifestation of divine personages, there is always a symbol of divine
indication and similarly at the time of manifestation of Prabhushree,
one areca nut covered with red turmeric powder was found lying in his
bed. This good tiding the form of auspicious manifestation was an
indication of His future life as an Incarnation. Childhood
: From
his very childhood, there were signs of spirituality in Him and with the
increase in age they assumed more and more concrete form. Attraction to
the Supreme Being was inherently found in him. When He went to a temple
to have ‘Darshan” (seeing the idol), He used to enter into a
meditative state before the idol for hours together and this had become
a routine affair with Him. He
along with His family shifted to Ramod and from there again to
Kotdasangani where He stayed for some time and at approximately at
the age of nine, He came to Jamnagar and it is here only that He
completed His study upto metric. His
life of childhood days was simple, pure, spiritual and regular. During
this period of His life, no special miraculous events have been noted to
occur. But from a friend of His childhood days, we have come to know
that during ordinary discussion, He used to become introvert and did not
speak anything for some time. However, at that time, this state was
assumed to be a mental weakness. Still however, in education and other
fields, His skill was found to have been of the highest degree.
Education
: From
the very beginning, He was found to have been very brilliant. After
passing His matriculation examination, He obtained admission in the St.
Xavier’s’ college at Mumbai in the science faculty. |
