SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES :

In the construction of this temple, a minute attention has been paid to the principles of Adhyatmikta (spirituality). Principles like truth, non-violence and Brahmcharyatmak purity have been established in every work of the temple.

OBSERVANCE OF TRUTH :

Beyond the limit of the prayer-room of the temple, whatever expenses were involved in the new construction taken on hand, were met by taking money from only those persons who were observing truth or took a vow to observe truth hence forth. As a result of this, the period for the work of construction of temple was extended beyond the prescribed limit and the dome (Shikhar) of the temple on account of this reason had remained uncompleted. In this sense only the name of the temple has also been kept as “Shri Satya-Yuga Ramji Mandir”. Rev. Prabhushri had desired that in accordance with the name of the temple  truth should prevail in the center in all the social activities of the temple.

BRAHMCHARYATMAK PURITY :

At least in religious places, the observance of principles of purity should be observed most scrupulously, And then only the presence of Chaitanya of Parmatma (supreme soul) can be established uninterruptedly in an unbroken manner. In this context, Rev. Prabhushri has made an arrangement so that complete modesty could be maintained between men and women in the temple. Different staircases have been kept for them for going in and out. The sitting arrangement is made in the prayer room in such a way that men and women remain away from sight of each other. Along the center line of the prayer room, a wooden barrier three feet in height has been created. Moreover, women have been instructed not to come at night. The period of Akhand Dhun (constant, continuous, unbroken, round-the-clock singing of the Brahm Mantra AUM HRIM, RAMA, JAYA, RAMA, JAYA JAYA, RAMA) for women has been kept from sunrise to sunset.

NON-VIOLENCE :

The social implication of the principle of non-violence of Rev. Prabhushri is that there should be no violence upon any living being. And that is why the niche where Akhand-Jyot (uninterrupted burning of the flame) has been ceremoniously installed is designed in such a way that not a single insect would fall in the flame. Moreover, it has been ordained as a rule that none of the musical instruments being used in temple should have leather. However, later on plastic musical instruments were discovered. It has also been ordained not to use silk for the supreme Lord.

SANCTUM SANCTORUM :

Some special care was taken for purity and divinity in the sanctum sanatorium, before the ‘Pran-Pratistha’ was performed. For achieving this purpose, the dust of Saryu River was obtained from Ayodhya and spread below the throne of the Idols. Along with this, water of river Ganges brought from Haridwar has been kept in a separate niche on the Ganga Dashera day. And in a second niche, ‘Akhand-Jyot’ has been installed. Thus, in this way, from the spiritual point of view, Rev. Prabhushri has completed all the necessary ceremonial rites.

In the sculpting of the idols also, similar great care is taken. The sculptor, during the work of sculpting had to observe certain rules. In spite of all this, in accordance with the inspiration received, the idol of Shri Ramlala Shri Hari had to be sculpted again. While doing the work in the Sanctum Sanctorum, the workers had to remain barefooted. Once, by mistake, one worker went inside the Sanctum Sanctorum with his shoes on and so all the tiles had to be removed.

The rules for service and worship of the Parmatma have been fixed with the utmost exactness. A separate kitchen has been kept for preparation of ‘Prasad’ (holy food) and in this kitchen the ‘Prasad’ to be offered to Shri Ramlala Shri Hari at various times of the day is being cooked. An equal stress has been laid upon the purity of the worshipper also.
