THREE
TRUTHS – FROM THE QUALITATIVE VIEW POINT : Rev. Prabhushree had divided truths in three types from qualitative viewpoint. These are 1. Adhyatmik Satya (i.e. spiritual truth) 2. Naitik satya (i.e. moral truth). 3.
Bhautic Satya (i.e. physical truth) That
truth which is pertaining to the Supreme Soul or which is bearing a
relation to Him is ‘Adhyatmic Satya’ and it is the highest truth.
Whereas the truth based on morality guided by ‘Adhyatmikta’
(spirituality) is a ‘Naitik Satya’. In this way, moral values based on
righteous morality in the social dealings of humankind are highly worthy
of putting into action e.g. serving parents, giving respect to elderly
persons, helping the afflicted persons etc. In the general worldly social
dealings, the truth that is to be observed is said to be ‘Bhautic Satya,
i.e. physical truth, in which socio-economic dealings, observance of
accepted laws of the state and other worldly duties are included. The
importance of observance of all the three types of truths mentioned above
is equal. One should fully observe all the three types of truth. But when
the question of precedence arises, one should first follow Adhyatnik Truth
(spiritual truth), then moral truth and last of all physical truth. In
the five principles given by Rev. Prabhushree, one of them is
‘Sat-Kartavya’ i.e. right-minded action. REV. PRABHUSHREE HAS GIVEN A
PLACE OF PRIME IMPORTANCE IN LIFE OF HUMANKIND TO DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS
TO BE PERFORMED IN SERVICE OF SAT OR Brahm. The first duty or obligation
of man is only towards the supreme Soul. Shri Ramakrishna Bhagwan has said
in this very sense that, “GOD-REALIZATION ALONE IS THE GOAL OF LIFE.” REPRESENTATIVE
OF TRUTH – PROPAGATION AND PROTECTION OF TRUTH : Any
person takes a vow to observe truth in life, he becomes a representative
of truth. Rev. Prabhushree had explained systematically the ‘Kartavya’
(i.e. duty, obligation) of a representative of truth. A
representative of truth has to follow necessarily and perfectly the truth
in his personal life. However, it is not enough. He should also work
actively to turn other people towards truth. His efforts should be such
that more and more people start observing truth. Along
with this, he should discover truth from the world and present it to the
people. In order to find out truth, he should be a good observer.
Continuous observing a subject or an object can discover truth. After
that, distinct conclusions should be drawn from the truth so discovered
and placed before the people. In order to do so, in a systematic manner,
such propagation should be made through approximate medium so that more
and more people can come to know about it. For example, meat eating is
harmful. Then, by deeply investigating into this subject, and by the help
of the study so made evils of meat eating from physical, mental, economic,
social and spiritual angles should be unearthed and put up before the
public with the help of a work of propagation of truth done by a
representative of truth. Along
with this, protection of truth is also equally necessary. Because a truth
so discovered or the ONE IN EXISTENCE IF ATTEMPTED TO BE REFUTED AND
ESTABLISHED BY SOMEONE AS UNTRUTH, THEN IT BECOMES A RIGHT-MINDED ACTION
ON THE PART OF THE REPRESENTATIVE OF TRUTH TO DEFEND THE SAME. For
example, in the above given example, if someone tries to uphold meat
eating as the highest alternative to vegetarian diet, then resisting such
an untruth, is an act of protection of truth. If
any refutation of ‘Sanatan Siddhant’ or true incident or a fact (i.e.
true report, authentic news or information, reality, truth) is not a
properly protected in the long run, then that untruth itself becomes
truth. In the field of religion may such untruths have taken the form of
truth and even today have come in-between the way of True-Religion. They
have kept humankind averse to the true knowledge of the Supreme Soul. For
example offering of animal sacrifice, non-continence acts of service and
rites etc. RESISTANCE
TO UNTRUTH SHOULD BE DONE ONLY BY TRUTHFUL WAYS. THERE SHOULD BE NO
VIOLENCE OR ENMITY IN THEM. Rev. Prabhushree had said that, ‘Prayer and
Persuasion’ are the best means. Rev.
Prabhushree had shown some ideal virtues for a representative of truth.
These are very useful for appropriate representation of truth. If
true faith, true devotion and love for truth are present to the fullest
extent in a person observing truth, then only he becomes capable of
successfully representing truth in the right sense. Hence, in the first
instance, in order to observe truth, the person concerned there should
have fullest devotion in his heart. The firm conviction that, “I must
observe truth at any cost” is said to be the true devotion to truth.
Whereas, mental state believing that “The power of truth will definitely
help me in observance of truth” is the unshakeable faith in truth.
Highest faith in truth is the real strength in observance of truth. Along
with this, there should be love for truth. If there is no love for truth,
then observance of truth becomes a burden. |
